The Indonesian Squat
Have you ever tried to sit like this? Indonesians do it all the time...and they can sit like that for hours. I tried to do it, but got tired after a couple of minutes, and it was tough to keep my feet flat on the deck.

Most likely, he just got of a motor bike. They are everywhere in Indonesia.
